Step 1: My paper, my 3D pop up card

This first and fore work is to bring your concept into reality by a 3D pop up card. I need to consider what colorful paper that matches my concept. Here I chose 2 pieces of colorful paper for my idea and make sure that the 2 pieces have different sizes. One is the cover of the 3D pop up card, which is thick and has a certain size and a smaller one is the inner paper to attach my 3D pop up image.

Step 2: Fold them all

Fold the 2 pieces of paper in half, right in the middle and width wide, to give your 3D card a shape of casual card. I can use fingers or a bone to completely smooth the fold of my 3D pop up cards.

Step 3: 2 cuts 2 lines

Take the inner paper and make 2 parallel cuts (not long, for a small 90-degree base of the 3D pop up cards) in the center to make a tab. Take the size of your 3D pop up into account. The large pop up image requires longer cuts.

Step 4: Push it out

Take the splits of inner paper and gently push them up towards. Run fingers along the fold for firming the creases of the 3D pop up card.

Step 5: My 3D pop up, my 3D pop up card

Draw and cut out the pop up image. I have had one pop up card and a pop up image in my mind. A photograph is also ideal in case someone is not confident in drawing, but cutting is unavoidable. I have to make sure it fit my card's size.

Step 6: Raise my dream

Open the inner paper of the 3D pop up cards and place a little glue on the bottom of the tab. Avoid gluing on the top of the tab, that would ruin my pop up and 3D card.

Step 7: 3D pop up cards, assemble

Rub glue stick across both sides of inner paper and open the cover paper, set the inner one into the adhesive. Press down firmly and let it dry completely. My 3D pop up cards is now formed and it is about the be done.

Step 8: Let's make it more yours
